A hardcore Warner three line whip meant that a bunch of us employees had to attend the Matchbox 20 show at Wembly Arena last week. For anyone interested their new greatest 'hits' record is out now; it's called 'Exile on Mainstream'. That's not a joke by the way. It really is called that. Anyhow there was an enclave near the stage populated almost entirely by Warner peeps... except for this guy:
He turned out to be their biggest fan. He loved them so much. He knew all the words to all their songs. At one point he was raving so hard in one of the aisles that the steward had to escort him back to his seat, and even then he didn't seem to mind.
That's when Jack Melhuish, our Director of Digital, said:
'He's so happy, I'm like have you taken a pill?'
